new and unexpected, polishing and scratching the surface of the minimalist marble base of a lamp. this different processing is apparent in black marquina, which when scratched becomes gray - creating an interesting contrast. conceived by two young and inspired designers in pietrasanta, italy, the homeland of marble. manufactured by local skilled craftsmen, the caio table lamp, was born from the desire to celebrate the old bulb filament, with its soft light, slowly getting forgotten. the solid stone base is holding the larger delicate and transparent bulb showcasing its complex and detailed interior, glowing warm and softly when turned on. a beautiful and unique object creating subtle ambiance light.
