inspired by nature, carved and sanded by hand out of solid iroko wood. a sleek and timeless statement by the internationally recognized and award winning architect, pablo vidiella, based in madrid, spain. the kaona dining table arises as an investigation of circular and elliptical geometries through a very simple conceptual sequence of stretching transformations. an ellipse is obtained enlarging a circle, creating a bigger functional surface. by stretching four points of this new geometry four legs start to grow, becomming a new living object.
every creation is hand made and crafted to the highest standards, finished with natural oil and beeswax. the natural properties of the wood are enhanced and nourished, and it is endowed with an elegant matt finish.
each piece of furniture is signed, numbered, and packed in a wooden box for maximum care.
